Membership

A current BC Snowboard Association membership is required to participate in any BC Snowboard sanctioned club, activity or event. By being a BC Snowboard member, you automatically receive a general membership with Canada~Snowboard.

BC Snowboard memberships are recognized by all Provincial Associations, which means you can participate in any Canada~Snowboard sanctioned activity across the country with your BC Snowboard membership.

BC Snowboard memberships are purchased online through Canada~Snowboard under Membership Services. If you cannot access the online application, please contact the BC Snowboard office (p: 250.491.7626; e: info@bcsnowboard.com) to make arrangements for a paper application/waiver form to be forwarded to you.

When you purchase a current membership, you will receive a confirming email from Canada~Snowboard and be added to the email distribution list of BC Snowboard to receive updates and news releases about all of our programs and events.

A BC Snowboard membership entitles the member to purchase athlete insurance under the Sport Accident Insurance Program (SAIP). For more details about SAIP, please review the brochure at Canada~Snowboard: Member Services: Documents.

TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP

Basic Membership

Price: $30

A BC Snowboard Basic Membership is required for any athlete, coach, official or volunteer training or working with any sanctioned club or participating in any sanctioned activity or event up to the level of Provincial Series events. This would include RBC Rider events, all sanctioned club activities and local sanctioned events.

Purchase: General Membership ($30) and Basic Competitor License ($0)

Advanced Membership

Price: $80

A BC Snowboard Advanced Membership is required for any athlete participating/competing at Provincial Series events or higher level sanctioned events (NorAm). This includes FIS and TTR sanctioned events.

An Advanced Membership and SAIP insurance are required in order to purchase a FIS license.

Purchase: General Membership ($30) and Advanced Competitor License ($50)

Coach Membership (License)

Price: $25 (plus Basic Membership)

A BC Snowboard Basic (or Advanced) Membership is required in order to renew your Canada~Snowboard Coach Program (CSCP) License.

To renew your CSCP Coaching License, you need to be considered at least Basic Coach in training. For details about the Canada~Snowboard Coach Program, including certification and scheduled workshops, go to Canada~Snowboard: Coaching.

Officials Membership (License)

Price: $0 (plus Basic Membership)

A BC Snowboard Basic (or Advanced) Membership is required in order to renew your Canada~Snowboard Officials License and to register for a Canada~Snowboard Officials course.

Refund Policy for Memberships and Licenses

Canada~Snowboard Memberships and BC Snowboard Licenses are non-refundable.
